Who is your culinary inspiration?My mother and father. Both have passed away. As the story goes, my mother who’s from Indiana, couldn’t cook AT ALL! They met in Chicago. My dad, who’s from the Mississippi Delta, missed home cooking and took my mom on a road trip so that my aunts could teach her how to cook. My mother came back a master chef, and the rest is history. She was known for her infamous gumbo. I’ve started a catering business in their honor. We’re one year in and business is booming 🥰
What would you do with the $25,000?I’d continue to build my brand. Whether it be a brick & mortar, or manufacturing our signature gumbo to put on shelves (which is the best, ask about it😜).
