Who is your culinary inspiration? My culinary inspiration is deeply influenced by my culture and the environment I was raised in. Growing up in New York with a Caribbean background, I was constantly surrounded by bold, flavorful foods rooted in tradition, and culture, not only my own, but the diverse cultures around me. From an early age, I became fascinated by global cuisines, especially those across the diaspora, known for their rich use of herbs, spices, and vibrant flavors that often differ from traditional American cuisine.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won the $25,000, I would use it as seed funding to open a wellness retreat centered on helping people heal holistically and naturally. My mission is to help people truly understand that food can heal and that a healthy lifestyle can completely transform the way they feel, think, and live. A place where people can come to heal physically through nourishing food, wellness education, comprehensive health assessments, movement, and lifestyle coaching.
