Instead of traditional ricotta cheese, I use rich and creamy cream cheese to create a smoother, more flavorful filling that melts perfectly into every bite. What truly makes this dish special is the blend of Puerto Rican spices and seasonings that bring bold flavor and authenticity to the recipe.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My passion for cooking was inspired by my Puerto Rican grandmother, whose love and dedication in the kitchen left a lasting impact on me from a young age. I grew up watching her prepare meals with pride, seasoning every dish with care, culture, and tradition. The smells of sofrito, garlic, adobo, and fresh spices filling the house created memories that I still carry with me today
What would you do with the $25,000?If awarded the $25,000, I plan to use the funding to purchase and prepare a food truck to officially launch my culinary business. This opportunity would allow me to turn my passion for cooking into a successful career by bringing my Puerto Rican-inspired dishes directly to the community. The funds would help cover the cost of the truck, kitchen equipment, licenses, permits, and essential supplies needed to operate professionally and safely.
