Receive Text UpdatesMy signature dishes are inspired by the Swahili coast of East Africa, where Indian, Arabic, and African flavors come together. I’m especially known for my coconut fish curry, shawarma-spiced grilled chicken, and slow-braised lamb dishes served with vibrant vegetables and house-made sauces. My cooking blends bold flavor, balance, and comfort while keeping every dish fresh, personal, and memorable.
Who is your culinary inspiration? My biggest inspiration comes from my upbringing in Tanzania and the women in my family who cooked with passion, patience, and hospitality. Their food brought people together and taught me that cooking is about more than taste — it’s about connection and care. I’m also inspired by global cuisines and chefs who honor tradition while creating modern, healthy, and flavorful dishes that tell a story.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to grow my private chef business, invest in professional kitchen equipment, and expand my meal prep and private dining services. I also want to create more opportunities to share Swahili and East African cuisine with a wider audience through pop-up dinners, cooking content, and community events that celebrate culture through food.
