Receive Text UpdatesIt is very difficult for me to pick a signature dish because I have developed many of them along the years. However, this question brings me back straight to my childhood and I have to say that my favorite all time signature dish is Haitian fried rice infused with smoked herring and okra served with my signature N.S.N. (No Sauce Needed) chicken wings garnished with a fresh garden salad including avocado chunks
Who is your culinary inspiration?I grew up in a large family combined of 8 siblings in Haiti and life was not always easy. So, we had to make ends meet in every way possible. My number one culinary inspiration was my late mother who, when she decided to immigrate to the US in search of the American dream and a better life for us, started teaching me survival culinary skills at the age of 8 years old. My father was not happy about it because back then a young boy had no place in a kitchen at all in our culture. Thanks Mom
