I’d have to say I have two! Shrimp and steak with a garlic herb butter, bacon wrapped asparagus and a double stuffed baked potato. My other one is a homemade creamy herb and tomato sauce with a herby seared chicken.
Who is your culinary inspiration?I’d have to say myself and family and friends. I grew up a very picky eater and I wanted to learn different ways around eating the things I didn’t like but still enjoying the dish. My nanan was a baker and to see the smiles she brought to everyone’s face while they ate was an inspiration. I started off young in the kitchen where people believed in me (my 4th grade teacher) and guided me along the way. I grew up watching how words fed the heart but food feeds the soul.
What would you do with the $25,000?Honestly, give back some to my mom and start a new adventure with my own food truck!! If I have any left over help out others who are trying to start a food business too. Hospitality is a very dog eat dog world and I want to show others that it’s okay to believe in each other.
