What is your signature dish?

My signature is the Glass Box omakase experience: a seasonal, chef-led progression of sushi, yakitori, and Asian coastal small bites. Each course highlights fresh ingredients, precise technique, and the transparent artistry guests can see from our glass-walled kitchen.

Who is your culinary inspiration?

My culinary inspiration is my family. I am a third-generation chef, following my grandparents and father, who taught me that food is built on discipline, respect, and care. Their influence drives me to honor tradition while creating modern Asian coastal dishes that feel personal and memorable.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest the $25,000 back into my culinary growth and my team by sourcing better ingredients, improving the guest experience at Glass Box, supporting chef training, and creating more opportunities to share Asian coastal cuisine with the San Diego community.
