Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration is my late grandmother. I learned to cook with her in our home kitchen in Singapore, food was how she showed love and took care of people. She taught me to trust my senses, cook with what we have, and always feed others generously. That strong spirit still guides how and why I cook today.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won $25K, I don’t think I’d do anything dramatic. I’d just invest it back into cooking and into myself in a simple way, buying better ingredients and basic tools I’ve been putting off purchasing, and resources to keep learning. Also, I’d share it with the people who’ve carried me behind the scenes, more than they know. It would just feel like sigh of relief.
