Who is your culinary inspiration? There are so many, and while I’m truly inspired by many modern chefs, my original inspiration is Irma Rombauer, the author of “The JOY of cooking”. When I was 19 and a nanny the family I worked for had her book. I devoured it, copied recipes, low key became obsessed… wrote down key concepts and tried out so many recipes!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would build an outdoor kitchen to teach farm to table practices in our new location to the homeschool community and local families in a way that truly honors the outside fresh air environment. We definitely need to expand our capabilities and give back to those that are local and in need. I’d like to set up a free food delivery service to those that are shut in and/or disabled, as well as free lunch bags to unhoused families.
