Receive Text UpdatesMy signature dish is my shrimp and grits or, just for kicks, my salmon with shrimp and grits. Creamy grits with Gouda and cheddar cheeses, and my version of firecracker salmon and sautéed shrimp with CK Soul Sauce covering everything. Yum.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My inspiration for cooking came from my grandmother. Her food was always warm, filling, and full of flavor, and it showed me how food brings family together. When I’m cooking, I hear her talking to me. Sometimes things just come to me, and I feel like my grandma is saying, “Take that off. Check this. Add that.”
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won $25,000, I would use the money toward fulfilling my dream of having my own food truck or brick-and-mortar restaurant. I want to share my food with people and help bring families together through my cooking.
