My signature dish is thyme-infused mashed potatoes paired with a perfectly seared airline chicken breast, seasoned vegetables, and a rich roasted tatashi sauce. The dish represents who I am as a chef, combining fine dining techniques with bold African flavors and comforting elements that create both elegance and warmth on the plate.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration is Chef Andre Rush. He inspired me even before I joined the military. His discipline, leadership, passion, and ability to balance culinary excellence with military service showed me what was possible. Watching his journey continues to motivate me to push beyond limits, stay resilient, and represent both the culinary world and the military with pride.
What would you do with the $25,000?With the $25,000, I would first help support my father’s cancer treatment and ease some of the burden on my family during this difficult time. I would also invest in my mother’s business to help it grow and become more stable. Beyond family, the opportunity would help me continue building my culinary dream and create a future where food becomes a source of comfort, culture, and inspiration for others.
