I know this sounds crazy, but I don’t really have a signature dish. I love pulling recipes from all over the place, making them exactly as written the first time, and then tweaking them over a few rounds until they become my own. That said, I do have a soft spot for salt-roasted beets with cream.
Who is your culinary inspiration?Jacques Pépin, Ming Tsai, Nancy Silverton, Alex Guarnaschelli, and Julia Child are all huge inspirations to me. Though, I’m in awe of anyone who cooks from the heart. Gusto Baby!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to start a small lunch delivery business focused on bringing good, locally sourced, nutritious food to people in rural Northwest Ohio who don’t always have easy access to fresh, quality meals at lunchtime without having to leave work or rely on fast food and convenience options. I love the idea of creating something community-focused that supports local farmers while making really thoughtful food more accessible.
