Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration has always been my mama. She’s the reason I fell in love with food in the first place. Watching her cook taught me that food is not just about flavour, but about love, generosity, and bringing people together. Everything I do in the kitchen today traces back to her cooking and the lessons I learned in her home.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to give back in a way that connects food, community, and dignity. I’d start by supporting initiatives that help feed people who are struggling, especially through community kitchen programs where a hot, nourishing meal can make a real difference. I would also invest in mentoring young chefs who don’t have the resources to enter the industry, giving them training opportunities and access to real kitchens.
