It combines bold island flavors with fresh vegetables, whole grains, and nutrient-rich ingredients that nourish the body without sacrificing taste. The dish reflects my culinary philosophy: healthy food should be flavorful, culturally inspired, and accessible. Every bowl tells a story of wellness, heritage, and the power of food to transform lives.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration comes from my grandmother, who taught me that food is love, my two uncles, who showed me the importance of tradition in the kitchen and culinary excellence, and my mentor, Chef Ty, who challenged me to elevate my craft and use food as a tool for impact and transformation.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the money to purchase land for a wellness-focused bed & breakfast in Colombia, creating a destination where guests can reconnect through nourishing food, cultural experiences, farm-to-table cooking, herbal education, & holistic wellness retreats. I would also invest in purchasing land connected to my family's history, where once enslaved, & transform it into a Farm 2 Feast Wellness Retreat. This land would become a site of hardship turned into legacy & hope for future
