It blends my Southern roots with my grandmother’s Wisconsin German heritage. The crispy pork is smothered in a rich, malty gravy with just a touch of jalapeño heat and served with mashed potatoes and braised red cabbage. It is comfort food that tells my story.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My grandmother is my greatest culinary inspiration. Raised in Wisconsin with strong German roots, she taught me that food is about more than flavor. It is about love, hospitality, and bringing people together. Her kitchen was always warm and welcoming, and that spirit continues to inspire the way I cook today.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to pay down debt and provide greater financial stability for my family. It would relieve a significant burden and give us more freedom to focus on our future. Winning this competition would not only be an incredible honor, but it would also make a meaningful difference in our lives.
