The wings are smoky, sweet, and packed with flavor, with just enough spice to wake up your palate. The rice complements the dish with savory ingredients and bursts of tropical sweetness, creating a meal that celebrates Caribbean-inspired comfort food and the joy of sharing great food with family and friends.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration is Anthony Bourdain. What inspired me most was his ability to go beyond food and immerse himself in the culture of the places he visited. He explored everyday life, traditions, and even politics, helping people connect through food. He showed that a meal is more than what’s on the plate—it’s a story and a shared experience. His curiosity and authenticity continue to inspire me, and I miss him dearly.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to take the next steps toward opening my own restaurant. It would help with startup costs, equipment, permits, and creating a space where people can come together over great food. My goal is to build more than a restaurant—I want to create a welcoming place that brings community, culture, and connection to the table.
