If I had to chose one, it would be a plate referred to as “El Plato Navideño” or The Christmas Plate. While this is normally served during the holidays, it’s something I make occasionally and for larger events. It features several traditional Puerto Rican Staples. Arroz Con Gandules, Pernil, Puerto Rican style Mac Salad and a Pastele. Other signature dishes of mine include a Puerto Rican Inspired NYC Chopped Cheese, The Best Cuban Sandwich in OKC and Pastelon.
Who is your culinary inspiration?I draw my culinary inspiration from the women in my family that helped raised me. From my mom, my grandmothers, my aunts and actually a few uncles. Family is the essence of my inspiration. There is not one specific person since they all contributed to what I was shown growing up in my youth.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would invest it back into my small business to help it continue to grow.
