My signature dishes include my Ember Roasted Jerk Chicken and my Northern Smoke Fire-Roasted Chili, both featuring my bold spice blends. As a trained chef, I love creating food that brings people together, tells a story, and leaves a lasting impression through flavour, creativity, and unforgettable experiences in every bite.
Who is your culinary inspiration?Marcella Hazan inspires me because she showed that simple ingredients, treated with care and technique, can create unforgettable food. Bobby Flay inspires me with his bold use of spice, fearless flavours, and Southwestern grilling style. Together, they have shaped my approach to cooking—balancing simplicity, comfort, creativity, and bold flavour in every dish.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won $25,000, I would invest it back into North & Ember Spice Company to grow my proprietary spice blends and expand their reach into more kitchens. I would also use part of it to teach families how to cook, sharing simple, flavorful meals that build confidence in the kitchen and bring people together around the table.
