Receive Text UpdatesIt’s hard to name a single signature dish as I almost never make something the same way twice, but I love Japanese tonkatsu, and interpreting it with an american southern perspective. I recently served it with a fresh cucumber salad and roasted leek valencia rice.
Who is your culinary inspiration? Both of my parents were very influential in my love for food and cooking, but it’s no shade on my dad to say that my mother is one of the best cooks in the world and really instilled in me a love both for food and the art of serving it. I frequently share dishes with her and methods I’ve experimented with, and I dream to one day have the knowledge and expertise she has.
What would you do with the $25,000?To really make the most of it, I would probably dedicate it to helping me make my food blog into a professional media presence. Creativity is very important to me and a constant in my life and goals, so I think the best way to launch my career is by making an identity out of my cooking that I can sell and begin building up.
