Who is your culinary inspiration?Cooking began with my family, being born and raised in a proud Mexican-American heritage household that made feeding others, never about an obligation, but a celebration of life. My culinary mentors throughout the years: John Hundley, Jim Gattari, Chef James Douglas, Chef Bryan Liem, and Chef William ‘Bill’ Barber. Inspirations: Augustus Escoffier, Jose Andres, Wolfgang Puck, Alain Ducasse, Thomas Keller, Dan Barber, and Anthony Bourdain.
What would you do with the $25,000?‘Overnight Chefs’ is a startup company by three colleagues from culinary school to continue promoting Culinary Arts through higher education, sports and entertainment, and investing into the next generation with scholarships and grants. $25,000 would ensure the jumpstart of exciting future opportunities to reinvest into local communities, in Orange County and Los Angeles County, to develop night markets, promote culinary competitions, and to showcase local talent in the food scene.
