What is your signature dish?

My signature scallops and risotto celebrate the best of every season — sweet spring peas, summer corn, wild mushrooms, fresh herbs, bright citrus. Elegant yet comforting, it’s the kind of meal that invites people to linger at the table, share stories, and leave feeling nourished in every sense of the word.

Who is your culinary inspiration?

My inspiration comes from the intersection of Southern hospitality, my father’s adventurous love of food and seafood, and chefs like Jacques Pépin, Marcus Samuelsson, and Edna Lewis, who taught that elegant food can still feel deeply comforting and welcoming.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the $25,000 prize, I would travel to deepen my culinary perspective, invest in continuing education, and give back to causes close to my heart.
