Receive Text UpdatesI don’t have a signature dish as much as I have a signature style. I love to make comfort food, new and modern. A fresh take on the southern classics. Shrimp & Grits with a twist. More Creole than Cajun and put it over Grits & Greens. I adore baking, as well. A Cream Cheese pound cake and make it into Crush Cake with fresh berries from the farm.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My biggest inspiration in cooking was my Mother and Southern Living. I had three sisters growing up and my mom would make us cook dinner A LOT. So we would pour over Southern Living magazine and make 3 course dinners. I did the same thing with my children and they are fantastic cooks, as well.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would get the cookbook published that I have been wanting to make for years with a friend of mine. A history of never cooking alone. Someone somewhere along the road of my life has taught me everything that I know. I would like for them to shine and know how appreciative I am for their influence in my life.
