Receive Text UpdatesMy signature dish is dumplings with potatoes (Găluște cu cartofi), my Romanian “mac and cheese” without cheese. It’s simple, but it’s my ultimate comfort food and the taste of my grandmother’s kitchen. Turning her cook‑by‑eye memories into real recipes is how I learned to trust myself, cook from the heart, and turn necessity into passion.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My biggest culinary inspiration is actually hunger. I grew up with very little food, so once I discovered what real food was, I wanted to taste and learn everything. In Romania we say a good wife must know how to cook because love goes through the stomach. I took that to heart and I cooked my way into my husband’s heart and into my own passion for the kitchen.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I win, I’d invest the $25,000 into my dream home kitchen, the kind of space that makes you want to cook even when you’re tired. I’d remodel so I have room to create, film, and share more recipes, turning my everyday kitchen into a little studio where Romanian roots and global flavors never stop evolving. This prize would build the home base for the next chapter of my cooking journey.
