Who is your culinary inspiration?My son, my best friends Mom- Angela, and the great Marcella Hazan, and Anthony Bourdain. My memories of travel also serve as great inspiration to me, from snails off the street in Morocco, a radish I ate in Norway, or a club sandwich from a diner in Detroit. Any meal I've ever had or tasted that left a mark on my senses. I am a celebrity makeup artist turned stay at home mom, and channel my experiences and exposure everytime I cook.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would start my non-profit: "Say Grace". A collected curation of donated tablescapes, partnering with local food pantries. Recycling with purpose, making the simplest meals feel special. In 2024, I did this out of my garage during the holidays, and it was successful, but challenging. With funding, I could get a storage facility/warehouse to collect donations all year, have space to curate & organize, pay for packing supplies for distribution, and merchandise to raise awareness.
