It’s a family favorite that brings together comforting flavors, aromatic spices, and cherished traditions. This dish reflects my passion for sharing authentic Indian vegetarian cooking that nourishes both body and soul.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration comes from the family and friends who brought their distinctive regional recipes from India to the United States. They taught me that food preserves culture, community, and tradition. I am inspired by authentic cooking methods, Ayurvedic principles, thoughtful spice pairings, and fresh ingredients from my garden. Whether cooking in an iron kadai, earthenware handi, or brass vessels, I honor the wisdom and flavors passed down through generations.
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000, I would publish my cookbook to preserve and share authentic Indian family recipes, launch community-based cooking classes that bring people together through food, and support hunger-relief organizations. My goal is to make healthy, flavorful home cooking accessible to more people while honoring cultural traditions and giving back to those facing food insecurity
