My kitchen is a mix of different flavor backgrounds. From comforting New Mexico red chile posole during the holidays, to a fresh basil and rosemary pesto on airy toasted ciabatta, to a perfectly grilled, melt-in-your-mouth steak. But my real passion is deconstructing classic dishes and desserts to put my own spin on them. I’m up for trying just about anything because, in cooking, creativity is the key.
Who is your culinary inspiration?Growing up in a family of 11, I learned that cooking is about heart and creativity. My mom is my ultimate inspiration—she could take just a few ingredients, her Spanish and NM roots, and create a scratch-made feast that fed us all. Even using her exact ingredients, I still can't quite replicate her magic! What would you do with the $25,000?Paying It Forward, my passion, comes from my father, Capt. E. L. Krapcha, 1921 to 1993 the voice of many disabled veterans. (DAV) My children & I run a fundraiser bingo night. To celebrate our military by hosting a massive Thank You for Your Service dinner. This will help with our Military Dual Softball Tournament in 2027. God has blessed me with a full life; I want to change the lives of other with winning this award would spark a lasting "Be the Change be the Difference" "
