My signature dish would be 'Everything But The Kitchen Sink Soup'. I don't waste a thing in the kitchen so when I have vegetables that need to be used before they turn, leftovers and some homemade stock that I always have stored in the freezer, I put it all together into a pot, add seasonings as needed and serve it up with some homemade bread. There is nothing more comforting than home cooking.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration come from my strong, resilient and creative ancestors. The women who could make a meal out of very little ingredients and stretch it for days by adding more stock, random scraps and an incredible amount of love.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would save as much as possible, take some to finally go on my honeymoon to Sicily & Italy and learn cooking techniques from the locals and (HOPEFULLY) pay off some debt. Or maybe finally self publish my cookbook(s).
