Receive Text UpdatesI have been making mexican food from the get go. Learning from my mother, this to help her while she worked. I would say all my dishes are signature, because I make them with love. However, one I am very proud of and have been blessed to make, are my tamales. I started making them because my friend asked me to sell her tamales. I came up with my liquid gold to make these the most flavorful tamales. I worked on this recipe for years and was able to sustain my kids and I. Forever thankful.
Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration, is anyone who is in this industry. This industry can be tough. Chef's that help the next generation grow, that inspires me greatly. Those people who don't give up and keep going no matter the obstacle. Chef Juan and Chef Tom (RIP).believed in me, and gave me a chance. They inspire me, and I am grateful for them! They inspire me to stay teachable and humble, to learn everyday, and be better everyday. To teach others and be kind and patient.
What would you do with the $25,000?My dream is to open a 2 in one stop shop. A place where you can come and enjoy my cooking, and baked goods. I am also a cake artist, and sell cakes on the side, Which blessed my children and helped us srvive difficult times. I've even thought about giving cooking classes, and cake decorating classes. Ultimately I want to be my own boss and share my love of food making with others. If I can share my skills with others so they can be self sufficient that would be amazing as well.
