Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration is rooted in culture, family, classical training, and the belief that food is one of the most powerful ways to connect people. With Filipino heritage from my mother’s side, I draw inspiration from the warmth of communal dining, bold umami flavors, vibrant acidity, and meals made with love that bring people together. From my father’s French Creole roots, I embrace soulful seasoning, layered depth, culinary tradition, and the artistry of transforming ingredients
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000, I would invest in creating a culinary education program for both children and adults by purchasing essential cooking equipment, tools, safety supplies, and instructional materials needed to build a professional, hands-on learning environment. Funding would also support curriculum development, licensing, marketing, and interactive educational experiences focused on practical cooking skills, healthy meal preparation, nutrition, creativity, and confidence in the kitchen.
