Who is your culinary inspiration?My culinary inspiration begins with my father, who taught me the fundamentals, discipline, and respect for the craft of cooking. I am also inspired by the chefs I work alongside and learn from throughout my journey. In Nashville, chefs and teams at Bastion, Maíz de la Vida, and Catbird Seat inspire me to be more creative, more intentional, and bolder with flavor while continuing to honor my heritage and grow as a chef.
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning the $25,000 prize would help me take the next step toward launching a food truck rooted in my Mexican fusion and culinary experience. I would invest in equipment, permits, and developing a concept that reflects my story through food. My goal is to create elevated yet approachable dishes while building a foundation for my long-term dream of opening my own restaurant.
