Receive Text UpdatesThe dish that brings the most people around my table is my annual Christmas party. Anywhere from 22-40 of my close friends gather round for a dinner that takes 3 days to prepare, drinks games and a whole lot of fun. This includes a turkey, lamb, 2 types of potatoes , my famous stuffing, 5 vegetables, homemade baked bread, 2 home made desserts, 2 salads and laughter on the side.
Who is your culinary inspiration?I’ll keep this one simple. I’d like to create a platform that helps feed the world. There isn’t a food shortage problem. It’s a food logistics problem. Many of us have learned how to build and fix things. Very important skills, though we only need to change maybe 50 light bulbs in our life, or provide renovations to our house a handful of times in our life. Yet we eat everyday. And we sure as hell need to know how to do that well.
What would you do with the $25,000?I’d quit my job and put that cash to use. I’d create a company that closes the logistical loop so restaurants and grocery stores can get tax deductions via food donations and provide them to food pantries, shelters, and the ones that need it most. Start local. Illiterate, learn, illiterate, scale. Go global.
