Receive Text UpdatesMom, inspired me to start cooking. She said she didnt want a son who grows up to not fend for himself. So I grew up cooking for myself, my family and now I do BBQ competitions with my son. Which has inspired him to get interested in cooking and trying new seasoning combinations and experimenting with flavors. I have always loved food and curious how foods taste so differently from one culture to another, even if it seems to be a similar dish.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?Man this is hard to pick, there are so many I enjoy. But I look to my roots as a farm kid and the basics that I grew up on. We raised our own food and so I ate a lot of the traditional meat and potatoes. So really I am a keep it simple but make it special kind of person. Whether it is making St. Louis Style Ribs on my smoker or making steaks and veggies or just doing a simple Chili or Cowboy Stew during the winter months. I have so many favorites. But I would say that my BBQ is spot on..
What would you do with the $25,000?Grow my BBQ catering business by completing my trailer to be a prep kitchen on wheels so I can give people the traditional BBQ experience in person because honestly BBQ is something that brings people together and is something to experience not just eat. That is why most of the best southern BBQ places are a small menu and when it is gone it is gone, but people line up for hours waiting to experience and taste the BBQ, even meet the Pitmaster cooking for them that day. Its a family and community
