Who or what inspires you to cook?

My mom always had a seat at our table for anyone & everyone. Every holiday & celebration was held at our house. She cooked simple delicious meals made with love. I named my brunch restaurant after her "Uncle Betty's" and every day, I remember who raised me and that cooking for others is the highest form of love and sharing.

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

Beef bourguignon. I do a different take on it and add homemade dumplings on top that absorb all of the intoxicating rich flavours. This dish truly impresses all of the senses.

What would you do with the $25,000?

My mom passed away this past November and I'd like to open a full service farm to table spot in her honour. Owning/running a restaurant is one of the hardest jobs ever and just like child birth, you forget the pain which is why you do it again!
