I grew up with a family full of great cooks. My great grandma is who got me hooked cooking blueberry pancakes. Now teaching my kids how to cook, It’s a beautiful bond we share as we create meals together that nourish not just bodies but hearts. There's an undeniable magic in preparing a dish with my own hands and seeing the smiles it brings. Knowing that my efforts can brighten someone’s day fuels my passion. Cooking is my way of expressing my love and creating lasting memories.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?Venison backstrap, showcasing the meat I've harvested. I love to marinate the backstrap in a blend of olive oil, garlic, and fresh herbs, enhancing its natural flavors. I grill it to a perfect medium-rare. After resting, I slice it thin and serve it with a rich Icelandic blueberry sauce, accompanied by roasted seasonal vegetables. This dish not only highlights my skills as a hunter but also brings my family together around the table, celebrating the connection between nature and our meals.
What would you do with the $25,000?Winning the $25,000 from the favorite chef competition would be a blessing for my family.
