Who or what inspires you to cook?

Cooking has been a passion of mine since I was around 10 years old. As the oldest, I often cooked for myself and my siblings. Later, while traveling in the military, I had the opportunity to learn and grow from so many different regions, which deepened my love for cooking. The various flavors, techniques, and traditions made it even more special to share with my family and friends.

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

The simplest dish to make—chorizo and egg breakfast burritos. Eventually, I created an elevated version of this dish: deviled eggs with a chorizo crumble, cilantro, and a chorizo oil drizzle, which I’m pretty proud of.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I am currently in the process of expanding a small food shack I started, which currently offers only to-go options, into a full-service restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining for an enjoyable experience.
