My inspiration? My younger sister Veronika. At the age of 16 she told me about her experience in the kitchen, the wonders that happened behind the doors. And at a time that I lost my way in life she invited me to be part of this chaotically beautiful life, where every day I propose to be better and encourage myself to experiment with new techniques every day.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?The dish I like to cook the most is fried rice with sweet and sour chicken. This dish is my family's favorite whenever they visit me I cook this dish for them. I do nothing but mention it and my dad's words are "Pedro's Chinese rice doesn't sound bad." With this dish I feel that I can be me by adding my Boricua touch to an Asian dish.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I were the winner, I would donate $10,000 to the Dr. Isaac González Cancer Hospital (Puerto Rico Medical Center Cancer Hospital). I will invest the other $15,000 in equipment and advertising to improve my business.
