Receive Text UpdatesGrowing up in a military family, I was exposed to diverse cuisines worldwide, igniting my passion for food and cooking. Assisting my mother and great-aunt in the kitchen, I discovered the joy of creating meals that bring people together. Inspired by these experiences and my own journey of weight loss and health, I now blend flavor and tradition with innovation, aiming to demystify cooking for my followers and teach that healthy food can be and delicious and easy to prepare.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?While not necessarily healthy...Herb-crusted New York Strip Loin Roast with Cabernet Roasted Garlic Reduction. I serve this with Caramelized Leek Mashed Potatoes and Oven-Roasted Asparagus. This has been my traditional Christmas Eve dinner for around 15 years, and only in the past 3-4 years have I served it at other times. Now, it's the most requested splurge meal I make from friends and family, especially for birthday dinners. It's bursting with flavor, elegant, and always perfect!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would publish a cookbook with some of the over 3,000 recipes I've created, then I would develop a cooking channel in the hopes of landing a show of my own to teach people on a weight loss journey how to cook. After working with thousands of medical weight loss patients, I've learned that many of them don't know how to cook and think that eating healthy means bland and boring. I want to change that misconception and help families learn how to eat healthy and put an end to childhood obesity.
