Discovering new combinations of flavor profiles to love. Food is the love language of all humans. I have always been extremely motivated by the taste palate. But breaking up with food due to health was heartbreaking. The journey through food as medicine inspired me to create dishes that attract all senses with bold savors, textures, aromas and most importantly, beauty. I love to inspire others to let food be their creative outlet.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?Fried Green Tomatoes. My passion is creating clean and exciting gf comfort food everyone can enjoy. Yes, there is such a thing! It is a simple dish that embodies the full experience of the senses. Each ingredient must be thoughtfully procured and perfectly prepared. The garnishments must be on fleek. And the Aioli makes the dish sing. It’s a team effort in reaching all sensory heights.
What would you do with the $25,000?I love food, colorful rare and heirloom produce, bringing together the local food chain and teaching people to cook with these foods. I am a pioneer of farm to table and a hyperlocal focus on foods. The funds would be used to expand my farm and coaching practice which does all these things. This honor would allow me to continue building my Gourmet CSA and Mobile Global Market which in turn allows me to offer low to no-cost on-site farmers markets to underinvested communities.
