Receive Text UpdatesMy family and friends inspire me to cook, I love to see their smiling faces and hear them "yumming it up" while partaking in my home cooked meals. To nurture them and bring comfort and happiness by cooking them a delicious meal brings me so much joy. The feeling of love and gratefulness I get when I see everyone enjoying my meals and saying such nice compliments about the food brings me tears sometimes! It's just such a wonderful feeling,
What's your all time favorite dish to make?Oh gosh...I'd have to say that my Fried Chicken & Collard Greens, is my favorite to cook because it is nostalgic and I can almost hear my mother's voice instructing me, or our conversations about frying chicken. I usually serve this with either garlic mashed potatoes & gravy, creamy mac & cheese or rice & gravy...and always with homemade biscuit, garlic bread or cornbread. I have a lot of favorite dishes that are very delicious, but this one holds a special place in my heart
What would you do with the $25,000?Well, with $25,000 I would probably remodel my old kitchen to make it a better place to prepare meals (more counter space etc) for a small catering business I'd like to start, or I would publish my cookbook that I've talked about forever! Or, I would put it towards opening a small Cafe with just a few tables and a walk up counter with different menu items weekly...thats really what I'd like to do, and with some of the income earned from this, I'd find ways to pay it forward in my community.
