Who or what inspires you to cook?

My Mom was a very good cook, and encouraged me by sharing her Gourmet Magazines with me. Now, both my husband and I love to cook and often collaborate on recipes, which is really fun.

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

My favorite dish is roasted chicken. I made it for my husband earl in our dating years, and he always says that the first time I served it, he knew he had to marry me. The recipe has been referred to as Famous Chicken ever since. I baste the bird with a mixture of maple syrup, grainy mustard, grated ginger, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and soy sauce. Starting at 425 degrees for 15 minutes to crisp the skin, then turn down the oven to 350 to finish cooking the bird. Juicy, succulent!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would invest in some newer equipment, along with finding some courses to expand my knowledge.
