My Dad inspires me to cook. As a kid, we would spend our weekend mornings watching Great Chefs of America, The Frugal Gourmet, and Yan Can Cook. He would say, “Kandikane, you have to learn to fend for yourself and that starts in the kitchen.” I didn’t recognize then but he was preparing me for the ebbs and flows of life. I cook because it brings people together and because I care about the well-being of people. I, too, want to show others how to fend for themselves. I love it.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?Shrimp ceviche w/ baked wonton chips.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the funds toward my test kitchen and private event space.
