And my mom, while not a baker, is an amazing cook!I watched closely from the time I was in grade school to absorb her recipes and skill. I took the love of cooking that Julia and my mom ignited in me and combined it with my huge sweet tooth to become a later life pastry chef.Studying art has helped me create unique custom cakes and delicious pastries that bring joy to others-now that’s inspiration!
What's your all time favorite dish to make?That is such a hard question to answer! I love to make giant ooey-gooey cinnamon rolls! I make a soft brioche-like dough that I shmear with butter and tons of cinnamon sugar.My cinnamon rolls are unique because I make a cinnamon/ butter/heavy cream “goo” that goes on the bottom of the pan. The cinnamon rolls are placed on top and baked.They are finished with a thick swirl of cream cheese icing. My family’s eyes roll up into their heads when they take their first bite.I LOVE to
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to help fund the conversion of my 1890 Victorian house that I recently bought into a cafe. Since 2018, I have owned and operated my all dessert food truck but have wanted to open a brick and mortar bakehouse cafe for several years. Converting a very old house into a commercial food establishment is an expensive endeavor. This prize money would be so helpful in making my dream come true!
