Who or what inspires you to cook?

My family, friends, and especially husband inspire me to cook, because feeding people is my favourite thing to do. I love having a built-in taste tester who supports any new recipe I attempt and inevitably throw his way. I’m also inspired by my Great Aunt Shirley who is the Queen of dinner parties. I aspire to be like her, chatting and entertaining while whipping up delicious meals.

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

A rigatoni pasta with vodka sauce, topped with my special cast-iron chicken with a sweet and spicy rub.

What would you do with the $25,000?

As someone with no culinary training but plenty of passion, I would love to have the opportunity to enrol in a culinary arts program or take proper cooking lessons. Being from a small island, opportunities are limited, but this money would allow me to continue to broaden my horizons and further my learning journey.
