Who or what inspires you to cook?

My family, my grandma cooking every day for all of us, my dad that cooks since he was a child and always showed me cooking shows and did pay for my education, Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern, who inspired me about culture, food and people around the world and last but not less important... My sister that used to say that my scrambled eggs were the best when she was 5 years old.

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

I would say fettuccine Alla carbonara. I'm from Venezuela, a south American country with really strong Italian traditions thanks to the immigration in the last century. Whatever dish I can turn in a good pasta dish would make me happy. One day, living in Panama I saw guanciale for the first time and it was love at first sight, pecorino, eggs, so simple, it's like magic. Well, that's the kitchen isn't it? A magic place.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Definitely invest in my education, I would love to get a degree in Restaurant Management to keep growing in this huge industry, I'm 30 years old and I'm hungry of knowledge and my dream is have my own restaurant and make people happy with food and nice experiences.
