Who or what inspires you to cook?

Cooking is my love language—it’s where my soul comes alive. I integrate flavors and mindfulness, nourishing not just the body, but the mind and spirit too. Every dish I create is an invitation to slow down, savor, and connect. Food is my art, my joy, and my way of serving the world with heart.

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

My all-time favorite dishes to make are carne guisado and picadillo—Mexican comfort food at its finest. I grew up on these rich, soul-warming stews, and now cooking them for my own family keeps us anchored to our roots. Each bowl, served over a heaping spoonful of Mexican rice, topped with queso fresco and warm corn tortillas, is more than a meal—it’s a hug from our heritage, filled with all my love.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25K, I’d expand my Chef Yogi vision—exploring cultures through food, deepening my craft, and creating soulful yoga retreats that nourish body, mind, and spirit. Each retreat would offer community, cooking experiences, and a chance to give back—serving local communities with purpose, connection, and heart.
