Who or what inspires you to cook?

The instant joy and connection that comes to people through good food! It's a way for people to bridge any division, we're all human and we all need sustenance. I've seen the deepest of bonds forged by sharing the stories we share through sharing food, and that is an every day kind of magic!

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

Tacu tacu: a simple Peruvian dish, but its beauty is in getting you through hard times. A fried patty made of beans, refried beans, and leftover rice seasoned with as much garlic and aji amarillo as you can take! Finish with a fried egg and sweet platanos, some salsa criolla if you have it, and your bare bones pantry staples become hearty sustenance to warm you over at the end of a long day!

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the $25,000 I would want to start a small cafe business, a lifelong dream of mine, a place where I can bring my story to others in a rustic, comforting environment. A place of warm bread, hot coffee, and good vibes!
