Receive Text UpdatesI believe every dish is a story, and I want to tell mine through food. Food connects me to my Korean heritage while exploring and fusing other foodways and other people’s stories. It’s been a lifelong joy to feed and nourish people with food made with love, the essential ingredient that brings us all together at shared tables.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?I LOVE making Creole/Cajun classics with a Korean twist, such as a gochujang shrimp etouffee over roasted seaweed grits. One other fusion involves kimchi and cheese, like a kimchi arancini ball made with kimchi fried rice wrapped around melty mozzarella cheese and fried to a golden brown delicious crisp!
What would you do with the $25,000?It’s my dream to start a food business of my own, sharing and serving Korean American fusions and classics. $25K would help with start up costs for a pop-up/supper club or a small Korean American delicatessen/cafe in my beautiful rural remote desert community in Twentynine Palms/Joshua Tree in Southern CA, where food/restaurant options and diversity are limited.
