Who or what inspires you to cook?

Cooking has been a part of my life since childhood. At five, my teacher taught me to make donuts. In first grade, I made chocolate mousse for a potluck. We were very poor and couldn’t afford cable, so I spent my time watching Julia Child on PBS. My mother, the only one who spent time with me, showed me the power of food. Cooking became my way of healing—physically, emotionally, and mentally. It breaks barriers, brings people together, and creates peace. Food is my way of connecting a

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

I would go with a Classic Burger Hemingway recipe from JFK library. The layers of ingredients and historical context excites and amazes me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it to help my elders in my family. They live in low income housing. Don’t have a lot or need a lot but the money would help with health issues. Cause if it was not for them I would not be here.
