Receive Text UpdatesI’m inspired by my favorite foods and whatever mood I am in. I like to recreate meals I’ve had at restaurants or make recipes that just sound good to me. Cooking is such a gratifying experience and is one of the few art forms that allow the creator to make something that can be enjoyed through the 4 (sometimes 5 senses). Cooking is both alchemy and artistry and it feels incredible to create something great with my two hands, some quality ingredients and heat.
What's your all time favorite dish to make?It’s hard to choose ONE dish I enjoy making the most but since I absolutely have to choose - it would have to be mac and cheese. Nostalgic, filling, and comforting. Not to mention, it’s pretty simple to make. The right mac and cheese can be life changing and after so many holidays, I’ve gotten my recipe down to a science at this point. Shredding all that cheese can be a bit tiring… but if you remind yourself of what’s to come - it can become a meditation.
What would you do with the $25,000?I’d move into a new apartment where I can host the dinner parties of my dreams. I’d self publish again, but this time - a cook book. Pay off my debt, give some money to my parents and take a trip to Mexico City or one of the Greek islands. I’d finally make a dinner reservation for Alinea in Chicago.
