Who or what inspires you to cook?

My Grammie and my mom. Grammie was featured in the local newspaper because of her cooking, fully stocked kitchen fridge and basement freezers. She was ready and willing to cook dinner for anyone who needed it or wanted it, no matter where they came from. She brought me into her kitchen and let me help prepare dinner. My mom is always an amazing cook and baker. Thanksgiving is our day! We spend the entire day cooking and baking together. Holidays or everyday can be inspirational for food!

What's your all time favorite dish to make?

Pie! With everything from scratch. I love to make my own butter crust, getting my hands covered in butter and flour, preparing the foundation and shelter for the deliciousness inside. My two favorite fillings to make are pumpkin and apple. My pies always start from as the physical fruit, not from a can. I also created my own spice mixes to get the perfect fall flavors for each pie filling. Of course, the spice mixes aren't the same because they are catered to the fruit they are to compliment!

What would you do with the $25,000?

First, I'd pay off credit card debt that prohibits me from pursuing my goals. Next, I'd throw a cooking/baking party with my family to celebrate our talents for us and all our friends! Fully catered by us! Finally, with what's left, I'd add it to my savings account to buy a home. I want a place big enough to cook/bake and host just like Grammie and Mom. A home where everyone is always welcome, and there is always a fully stocked fridge and extra freezers ensuring there is enough food for all!
